"Not brilliant but it may stimulate some thinking! I would not have
thought just ONE metre of caving rope could provide emergency ascent
gear! No ways at Apocalypse.........but a 10 metre climb is possible!" - Dave Ingold

Nico's II - 8 March
Hi everyone,
On Sunday the 8th of March there will be a trip to Nico's II.
Back in 1979, Jim Harris had the following to say about this cave: "often described as 'nasty' or 'the most severe cave in the Transvaal',". I don't know whether it really is the worst in the Transvaal, but it certainly is the most difficult cave I have done in the Cradle of Humankind - despite that it's a lot of fun!
The trip will only be open to members of SEC.
Meet at 9 at Oak Tree garage. A 4x4 is highly recommended for getting to the cave.
There won't be a braai after this trip.
If you want to join the trip, let John Dickie know.
On a side note, don't forget the trip to Gobholo Cave over easter weekend:

Cheers,
